Petflex Pawprint Bandages from Andover are easily applied and stick only to themselves. They also allows skin to breathe and hold well even when stretched. They should not be placed straight onto a would, they need to be applied over the top of padding (like Soffban Plus) which would be on top of the initial dressing. It can be torn cleanly by hand which makes it easy to administer. Petflex Pawprint Bandages are strong, durable and cohesive and they offer controlled compression, comfort support, and are available from VioVet in either self wound or reverse wound.

Perfect for covering my dogs paw wound. Only stick to itself so doesn’t stick to fur and no need for plaster

I bought this for dressing the paws of a soft toy as my daughter is due to have her bunions operated on this week, and so I bandaged the paws of the toy to echo the dressings she will have. I think from using it , it is a very useful product.

Super! To me and Adele is very liked)

This elasticated bandage similar to vet wrap is excellent at keeping dressings in place. Use with soffban to prevent bandage from being too tight and restricting blood flow. Excellent value, cute design delivery quite quick.

If your pet has had an injury or an op where the dressing needs replacing every couple of days this is what you need to save you lots of money. PROVIDED it looks as it is healing properly get a melolin dressing and some padded dressing and cover them with this bandage. It sticks to itself , but very little else.

Below are some recent questions we've received regarding Andover Petflex Pawprint Bandage, including answers from our team.

My Labrador has to wear a waterproof boot on one leg to go outside, and a soft boot indoors. How long is it safe to leave the bandage on as it has to be tight in order to stay on her leg. I don’t want to cut off the circulation in her leg!
It is important you are instructed by a veterinary professional on how to apply a bandage using vetwrap safely. If applied too tightly for even just 30 minutes then this can be too long. In general you should be able to fit 2 fingers between your dog's skin and the bandage, but this may need to be tighter or looser depending on location.

whats the difference between reverse wound & self wound on the petflex bandage?
This is all about how easy it is to rotate the bandage around a limb and unwrap it easily as you go. The bandage itself, once in position, is the same whatever. Reverse wound has the surface which ends up on the inside when applied to the animal, on the outside of the roll of bandage. Normal wound has this surface on the inner face when you buy the roll of bandage. The difference is only obvious when actually applying it. Most people find the reverse wound easier to use.
