My cat didn't mind the liquid and I could tell a difference in his walking in a few days. Would definitely recommend this product. I have a 14 year old Bengal.

Not as good as it used to be.The quantities have been halved Glucosamine is now 300 mg was 600mg ,Omega 3 now 38 mg was 250mg -Chondroitin Sulphate 120 mg was 240mg - MSM now125mg was 250 mg. It also became more like a water rather than usual thick oral suspension. A lot of changes considering the fact price went up for this product. The list goes on . I am now looking for a different product as ArthriAid is not good enough anymore especially for a dog like Mastiff.

Jypsey is 13+ which is good for an Airedale and the arthriaid tablets do help her mobility. Although she doesn't seem to like the taste that much.

I bought the pump dispense which easily dispenses what looks like gravy on my cats wet food. It took a few days to get used to this on his breakfast but is now eating quite happlily. After just over a week he already appears less stiff in his hips when waking after a nap and is climbing stairs more easily. Optimistic for long term benefits without need for daily Metacam.

My 19 year old cat had a fall and was experiencing pain in his lower spine. Following a routine course of pain relief from the vets, he still seemed a little uncomfortable and stiff. He has been taking this for around 3 weeks now and does appear to be moving around a little easier.

Below are some recent questions we've received regarding ArthriAid Omega Liquid for Dogs & Cats, including answers from our team.

Is it possible for cats to develop weepy eyes and excessive drooling if you give them too much of this product.
ArthriAid is a joint supplement and classed similary to food. This means there are no listed side effects and it is a very safe product, the only issues that can arise is if your cat is allergic to any of the ingredients. Common signs of food allergies include diarrhoea or skin disease. Weepy eyes and excessive drooling is most likely unrelated, I would chat to your vet about these symptoms.

My cat has been on Yumove for quite a while and at first it seemd to make a difference, but I'm not sure if the effect is diminishing. I'm wondering about trying ArthriAid as an alternative. Is it necessary to have a gap between these products or can I go straight from one to the other on consecutive days? My cat is 15 and is also taking Phenobarbital, Loxicom and Cystophan. He is borderline diabetic but we are managing this with his diet. I assume that ArthriAid is ok in combination with these? Thank you.
Yumove should actually have a cumulative effect so the response should be better over time rather than diminishing. However some joint supplements do seem to work better for individual cats for some reason so trying ArthriAid could be a good idea. It is best to go straight onto the ArthriAid rather than take a break and it is safe to give with the other medications your cat is on. Failing an improvement on the ArthriAid you could speak to your vet about increasing the dose of loxicom slightly.

My 14 year old springer spaniel is on Vetmedin and Libeo,is this product suitable to take with those medication ?
There are no ingredients in ArthriAid that would interact adversely with Vetmedin or Libeo so should be perfectly safe to use for your dog.

I have been giving my dog yumove but he is still stiff & limping at times with arthritis he is unable to take nsaids due to bleeding is it worth trying ArthriAid as well as yumove or any other supplement you would recommend
Arthritis can be a persistent problem and a cure is obviously unlikely. However alleviating the symptoms is often possible. It is difficult to know which of the many different joint supplements to recommend, because there is no good research comparing them. Generally Yumove and Arthri-aid are regarded as good products with similar main ingredients. Personally I would add a product with a very different range of base ingredients to the Yumove, so Cortaflex might be the best one to choose. It remains very important to control body weight and encourage regular but gentle exercise. A lean dog which gets up and wanders bout regularly is likely to do better than one which rests a lot, then has brief bursts of vigorous activity. A little and often should be the rule for exercise. Then feed only the amount of food which produces a slim dog - most of us are too generous with the amounts we give.

Can the liquid and powder be mixed with catfood?
Both the liquid and powder can be mixed with their normal daily meals. You can feed the liquid straight into the mouth but for a better chance of them ingesting the whole amount it should be mixed with their food. The bottle of liquid comes with a handy measuring device in the cap.
