My 7yo dog was diagnosed with acute pancreatitis. The vet gave us the amount of fat that should be in his food. I searched for none prescription low fat food but he got worse. Tried this prescription food & he wolfs it down & he’s recovered

We mix this with our dogs dry i/d food to make it more intersting for her. She has chronic panceatitis. She must like it as she wolfs it down without any hesitation.

I find this product excellent as on this attack of colitis my dog was vomiting with diarrhoea and had a skin rash. Within 2 days his tummy had settled and the rash was gone in 4 days

My dog has IBD and royal canin hypoallergenic dry for nearly 8 months but now getting a bit cheesed off don’t want to swap kibble but looking to add this as a topper as I can see it has no animal proteins he has plant and fruit based treats and no problems so would this be safe to add to a topper? Or would the derm care one be more suitable?
Hills I/D contains different ingredients to Royal Canin Hypoallergenic and so it may set off the IBD. IBD can have a dietary cause and this is likely why your vet advised the hypoallergenic diet in the first place.
It is recommended to run any diet changes past your vet to be safe, they may be aware of what your dog is potentialy reacting to. You should be able to try anallergenic diets (Purina HA, Royal Canin Anallergenic, Hills Z/D) without any issues though as these are specially formulated so that they cannot cause an allergy related reaction.

My little dog has been diagnosed with pancreatitis which is the best food that you do - low gastro intestinal for little dogs please?
This low fat gastrointestinal diet is a great choice for a dog with pancreatitis. It is a veterinary diet so you should run it's use past your vet to be certain though.
Royal Canin also do a gastrointestinal low fat diet, Purina EN is also safe and suitable.
