For superficial ulceration of the eye in dogs, cats & horses.
Remend® Corneal Repair Gel can be beneficial when a high concentration of hyaluronic acid (HA) may be needed or desired in dogs, cats and horses. The cross-linked HA helps provide an environment conducive to cell growth and migration during normal re-epithelialization while lubricating the eye.
Please note that a corneal ulcer can be a serious problem and treatment should always be under the supervision and advice of your veterinary surgeon.
For use in superficial corneal ulcers in dogs and cats.
Place 1 to 2 drops directly onto injured cornea. The natural movement of the eyelid will distribute the gel over the eye surface.

Below are some recent questions we've received regarding Remend Corneal Gel Eye Drops for Dogs, Cats & Horses, including answers from our team.
Andy
Would this be safe long term use
Yes this product is safe for long term use. If you are looking to just lubricate the eye then you may wish to use Remend Lubricating Drops instead though. If you are treating an active corneal ulcer then it's important you follow your vet's advice closely on how long to dose with the product.

If i have used 1 bottle of remind corneal eye gel repair but the eye isn't fully healed yet can I then use a second bottle?
Yes, Remend can be used in the long term if required. Remend on it's own is unlikely to resolve a corneal ulcer though so it is important you discuss treatment for the condition with your vet.

Is this one 3ml bottle or 10 3ml bottles?
This product is purchased per bottle, this is one 3ml bottle.

Been using remend along with isathal and acular
For a eye ulcer slow healing , should you wait a certain amount off time between these 3 drops ?
(Also using dogs own plasma which gets applied at a different time ) .
I recommend discussing this with your vet. Remend Corneal Repair Gel mainly helps to keep the eye lubricated, if the eye dries then it can worsen the ulcer. It should therefore be used after any other types of drops, and ideally inbetween treating with other drops. I advise discussing the exact treatment plan with your vet though as this varies greatly depending on the frequency of the other drops that are used.

My cats third eyelid has been visible and covering 75% of his eyes. It does not retract. Would this help?
The third eyelid showing can be a sign of many underlying conditions, including dehydration and viral infections. Remend Corneal Repair Gel is intended for use in helping repair ulcers or lubricating the eye. It may help in this situation but the underlying issue could also have many other causes. I recommend seeing your vet to get the issue diagnosed first.

I have a shi Pei puppy who’s eyes have closed up would this gel help?
This gel is meant to be applied onto the eye surface itself to help the cornea, the surface of the eye, repair. If your dog's eyes are closed then this could be a sign of a serious problem and I strongly recommended contacting your vet for them to diagnose the underlying issue.

Please can you tell me if I need a prescription from my vet to order Bayer Remend Corneal Repair Gel 3ml from you?
Also, please can you tell me if you offer a discount for a bulk order?
Thank you very much.
Sue B.
These are not officially a prescription product so you do not need a prescription to buy these from us, but you should make sure that they are suitable by talking to your vet about them first. We cannot normally offer discounts unless you buy a very large amount as we tend to make all our prices as low as we can anyway.

My dog suffered with dry eye this time last year and a large ulcer developed.
He is starting to get irritated eyes again so wonder if I used this product now it would prevent an ulcer from developing? Many Thanks!
This is a good product to help promote a healthy state in the surface of the cornea. It is also very safe and it might well be very appropriate and beneficial to your dog. However since I am not familiar with your dog and what is happening now, I cannot say for certain if you should use it. If in doubt, it is always safest to go and see your own vet.

my cat suffered from conjunctivitis, would this work on her eye.
A typical case of conjunctivitis would not need or benefit from this product. It would be best to check with your vet to find out if this is appropriate to your particular cat.
